Committees – Invictus MUN 2026

Each committee at Invictus MUN is designed to simulate real-world decision-making environments. Click on a committee to explore its mandate, structure, and expectations.

Committee Philosophy & Structure

Committees at Invictus Model United Nations are not designed as theatrical debate spaces, but as institutional simulations that mirror real-world decision-making environments. Each committee operates under realistic procedural constraints, political pressures, and diplomatic trade-offs. Delegates are expected to engage with substance, not slogans.

From global human rights governance to domestic legislative procedure and crisis diplomacy, each committee is curated to test analytical depth, negotiation strategy, and policy realism. Outcomes are evaluated on feasibility, coherence, and alignment with institutional mandates.

What Is Expected From Delegates

Research & Preparation

Delegates are expected to arrive with thorough research, including an understanding of committee mandate, country or role position, relevant precedents, and procedural rules.

Diplomatic Conduct

Professional conduct, respectful engagement, and institutional decorum are strictly enforced. Invictus prioritizes serious simulation over performative aggression.

Policy Orientation

Emphasis is placed on solution-oriented debate. Delegates are assessed on clarity of policy, strategic negotiation, and ability to draft implementable outcomes.

Choosing the Right Committee

Delegates are encouraged to select committees based on experience level, subject-matter interest, and willingness to engage with complexity. Advanced committees demand procedural fluency and legal or political maturity, while intermediate committees focus on structured negotiation and policy formulation.

The International Press operates independently and is suited for delegates interested in journalism, photography, media ethics, and conference documentation rather than policy-making.
